Dr. Julia Metz
Programme Lead Industry Policy
Dr. Julia Metz is the Industry Policy Lead at Agora Industry. She is responsible for the Industry unit’s policy work, and focuses on cross-cutting policy issues related to the climate-neutral transformation of industry.
Before joining Agora, Julia worked on energy and climate policy at the Climate Neutrality Foundation (Stiftung Klimaneutralität), the German Association of Energy and Water Industries (BDEW), and the German Bundestag. From 2008 to 2014, she worked in academia and conducted research on the European Commission and European policy-making at the Social Science Research Center Berlin (WZB).
Julia Metz studied political science and economics in Heidelberg and Stockholm and completed her PhD on European policy at the Otto Suhr Institute of Freie Universität Berlin.
