Zun Chen

As Advisor China Industry, Zun Chen focuses on deep decarbonisation pathways and policy research for high-emission industries such as steel and chemicals, working to drive the systematic, low-carbon and steady transition of China’s industrial sector.
Zun’s prior professional experience spans international organisations, research institutions and consulting. He also served at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), where he led China’s fuel cell vehicle demonstration and hydrogen economy pilot projects. Subsequently, he conducted large-scale renewable energy system modelling and comprehensive assessment research at the University of Oxford. He has also provided policy and project advisory services in energy, climate and infrastructure to international financial institutions and multilateral development banks.
Zun Chen holds a BSc in environmental science from Nanjing University and an MSc in environmental engineering and sustainable development from Imperial College London.
