Julia Bläsius
Director Industry Germany
Julia Bläsius is Director of Agora Industry Germany and Agora Energiewende Germany. She leads Agora's work in Germany on the transformation towards a climate-neutral industry and on overarching energy and climate policy issues as well as in the areas of electricity, heat and energy infrastructure.
Before joining Agora, Julia Bläsius held different positions at the Friedrich Ebert Foundation (FES), including the Head of Regional Office South Caucasus and Ukraine. In Ukraine she also led a regional project of the German development agency GIZ (Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit). Most recently, she was head of the Consultancy Department at FES in Berlin, focusing on energy transition and social climate protection issues from different perspectives. She holds degrees in International Business and Cultural Studies as well as European Political Economy from Passau University and London School of Economics.
Julia Bläsius is a member of the Aurora Advisory Board, a member of the Fraunhofer CINES Steering Committee and a member of the Advisory Board for the Bertelsmann Foundation’s Social Sustainability Barometer.
