Agora Industry

Agora Industry is pursuing the goal of achieving a climate-neutral industry sector. With around 50 employees at four locations worldwide, and a prospect of future growth, we combine research, dialogue, and public relations in our daily work to find answers to crucial questions. In doing so, we work closely with partners in numerous countries, and we act independently and free of economic or party-political interests. 
To become climate-neutral, the world will need significant volumes of renewable hydrogen and derivatives by 2050, some of which will likely be traded internationally. Key applications for renewable hydrogen are in industry, long-haul aviation/shipping and for backing up renewables in the power system. Connecting hydrogen supply and demand will need to be based on integrated infrastructure planning. To efficiently integrate renewable hydrogen in a renewable energy system, countries in Europe and abroad need sound and practical policy concepts. 
To strengthen our team for current and future projects, we are seeking a:

Project Officer Hydrogen 
(f/m/d) – full- or part-time  (Minimum 32 hours)– Berlin-based

Your responsibilities include

  • Following latest global developments on hydrogen and PtX;
  • Evaluating developments (quantitatively and qualitatively) in close coordination with senior colleagues, and communicating them in presentations and policy papers;
  • Contributing to the conceptualization, development and delivery of complex research projects and trainings in close collaboration with Agora colleagues;
  • Building partnerships and working closely with network partners;
  • Contributing to internal strategy development and discussions.

We are looking for

  • A proven track record and expertise in the fields of energy, hydrogen and PtX in the public and/or private sector;
  • A university degree (Master or similar) in energy, engineering, economics, business management, political sciences or any other field relevant to the position;
  • Ability to deliver high quality work with short deadlines;
  • Strong networking and communication skills;
  • A positive team player who is enthusiastic to work with people from a variety of different professional and cultural backgrounds; and
  • Full command of the English language. Active knowledge of German is a plus.
